Our Expert Tutors

Our experienced tutors, with over 20 years of expertise, hold PGCE & Bachelor’s degrees in teaching and musicianship.
They can deliver both Rockschool and Trinity grades, catering to diverse learning preferences. Additionally, our tutors are specially trained to work with SEND learners, ensuring inclusivity and support for all students.

We offer lessons in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Music Theory, Composition, and Music Production. Whether you prefer in-studio sessions or online lessons, we have dedicated spaces and trained tutors to make your learning experience effective and enjoyable.

Online Sessions Made Convenient

For those unable to visit our studio in person, we provide online lessons via FaceTime, Skype, or Hangouts. With 30-minute and 60-minute sessions available, starting from just £20, learning music has never been more accessible.

Meet our tutors

All of our tutors teach from the Card Trick Model of Learning, trained by our owner and lead tutor, Adam.

Adam Sanders - Drums/Guitar/Bass/Music Theory/Production

Adam received his Guildhall Grade 8 at the age of 13, then moving on to an RSL Certificate in Music Performance. He received a First Class BA(Hons) in Music Production, and came top of his class with a distinction Professional Graduate Certificate in Education. He has been teaching drums, bass and guitar for 15 years, and performing for even longer. His experience covers an enormous range of genres from both a theoretical and practical application. Adam’s energetic and naturally personable and patient teaching style, alongside his studies in Teaching in SEND, put him in a unique position to specialise in this area.

Kirstie McEwen - Vocals

Kirstie is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, who has been playing guitar and singing whilst studying music since she was 13 years old. She has a degree and a diploma in music, and has a fierce love for all aspects of the industry. Kirstie is Card Trick’s vocal tutor, coaching students of all ages in a wide range of genres.

George Brewerton - Drums

George has been playing and performing in a variety of styles for 12 years, and has studied under Adam for 10. George lives and breathes drums, which enables him to offer unique perspectives on the instrument and cater for a variety of ages and learning styles.
